AI voice agent prompt builder
Start with a real call task. Add your facts, questions, and handoff rules, then take the prompt to your voice platform. Free, no signup.
Changing the call type replaces the script fields. Your business name, agent name, context, and boundaries stay in place.
Your voice-agent prompt
Updates as you type. Fill in bracketed placeholders before using it. This creates instructions; it does not place a call or connect tools.
No signup. No model call. Your inputs stay in this browser.
A useful voice prompt starts with a small job
“Be helpful” leaves too much undecided. A receptionist should learn why someone called and route the request. An appointment agent should confirm an existing booking. Give the agent a clear finish line and the facts it needs to get there.
Example: confirming an appointment
Add the appointment date, time, time zone, and the person the booking belongs to. Ask whether that time still works. If the caller requests a change, collect a preferred time. Unless a connected booking tool confirms the change, the agent should say it is a request awaiting confirmation.
Test what happens when the script stops working
- Interrupt the opening line. The agent should listen rather than restart a speech.
- Ask for a fact absent from the context. It should admit the gap.
- Ask for a person. Confirm the transfer path, or a truthful fallback if transfers are unavailable.
- Make a connected tool fail. The agent should not claim it completed the action.
- Ask it to stop. It should acknowledge the request and end the call.
Keep a prompt version with your test notes. Change one instruction at a time, then repeat the failed scenario. Prompts guide behavior; they do not replace tool permissions or platform controls.

FAQ
Does this tool use an AI model?
No. It assembles a structured prompt from your inputs and a call template, directly in your browser. It does not send your business information to a model or place calls.
Can I use the prompt outside Hail?
Yes. Copy the instructions into your voice platform’s agent configuration, or download Markdown and edit it. Tool names, transfer actions, booking permissions, and model behavior depend on the platform you connect.
What should I put in the business context?
Use verified facts the agent needs: opening hours, supported services, an existing appointment, or an order reference. Leave out information the agent does not need. If a fact changes often, fetch it through a connected tool instead of hard-coding it in the prompt.
Is a prompt enough to launch an agent?
No. You still need a voice platform, a number or call connection, and any tools the agent should use. Test interruptions, missing information, tool failures, requests for a person, and requests to stop before using it with customers.
